Planting the Seeds for a Positive Birth Experience

Whether you plan to give birth in a hospital or at home, with or without medication, scheduled cesarean or VBAC, this 4-week class series will prepare you to cultivate the childbirth experience you desire.

Topics include how to deal with common pregnancy discomforts, exercises to help both your mind and body get ready to give birth, birth options, what to expect during labor and the birth process, pain management options, comfort techniques, postpartum care, and newborn care.

Plan to include your support persons, up to 2 people.

Cultivating Comfort in Labor

This 2-hour class will be a quick review of the labor process and focus on techniques that will bring you comfort while you are in labor and giving birth. Ideal for people who have already given birth but want to brush up on comfort measures for an unmedicated birth.

Plan to include your support persons, up to 2 people.

Sprouting Newborns

Have you spent little time around newborn babies? Has it been a long time since you've handled a newborn baby? This 1.5 hour hands-on class will acquaint you with how newborns look, how they act, and what to do with them.

This class is ideal for prospective adoptive parents or new grandparents--many things have changed since our babies were born, so you'll want to make sure you are up-to-date on infant care recommendations and gadgets!

Radiating Confidence in Breastfeeding

Whether you are breastfeeding for the first time, are supporting a breastfeeding mom, or just want to know more about breastfeeding, this 1.5 hour basics class will help get you off to a great start and point you to some helpful resources.
